Dick's Sporting Goods Open

Dick's Sporting Goods Open

Endicott, New York

The Dick’s Sporting Goods Open is operated by Broome County Community Charities, Inc. (BCCC) and has donated over $10.7 million back to charity since its inception in 1971. Not only has BCCC been the sponsoring organization of professional golf in the area for the past 40 years, but BCCC is also involved in providing funds for scholarships, providing leadership and funds to build such things as a community meeting hall, remodeling the Boys and Girls Club and Community Center, and particularly funding a multitude of health related programs throughout the southern tier region of New York State.

The tournament will once again partner with Wendy’s restaurants to host the fifth annual Wendy’s Walk for Kids on Sunday, August 18 at 5 pm.  The mission of the Walk is to assist non-profit organizations whose purpose is to help children in the community realize their full potential, regardless of their life experiences and current circumstances.  The goal is to raise $225,000, which will be distributed equally to four wonderful organizations:  The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, Handicapped Children’s Association, Broome County Urban League & Mom’s House, all of whom support efforts to help children in the Greater Binghamton area.  For more information, to register to walk or to make a donation, visit
