Nice Shoes!
September 30, 2011
By PGA TOUR Staff
During the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, the PGA TOUR Wives Association, along with volunteers from the tournament and the Shriners, partnered with the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, fitting children for new shoes. The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation provides disadvantaged children and children in crisis with new shoes and socks. Some of the children receiving shoes had never owned a new pair of shoes and are forced to wear shoes either too large or small for their feet. Volunteers were paired one on one with the children, giving the kids their undivided attention and empowering them to choose something for themselves. It was a wonderful day of interacting with children and making a positive impact on the community as well as the volunteers who lent a hand.
