Virginia Beach woman who suffered from toxic shock syndrome starts charity to raise awareness

Bad things sometimes happen for a good reason. Audrey Leishman knows that now, but she struggled for a while to realize it. In early 2015, she faced near-death experiences with toxic shock syndrome, a bacterial infection often linked to tampon use, as well as a sepsis blood infection and fluid build-up that caused her lungs to go into acute respiratory distress syndrome.
