CDW wears blue in May to benefit Birdies for the Brave

As part of its celebration of Military Appreciation Month, CDW will underscore its long-standing support for military members and their families by raising funds for Birdies for the Brave in May. Throughout the month, CDW will be encouraging employees to make a donation each day in exchange for the opportunity to wear jeans to work.  To bolster its impact, CDW will match all employee donations to Birdies for the Brave as part of the company’s matching gift program.

The Official Technology Partner of the PGA TOUR, CDW is a leading provider of technology solutions for business, government, education and healthcare.  In addition to the company-wide focus on giving back to military charities in May, CDW supports year-round military appreciation through its partnership with Operation Homefront, an official Birdies for the Brave homefront group which provides emergency assistance and morale to military families as well as food assistance, vision care, home and appliance repair, and moving assistance, among other services.  CDW also partners with the U.S. Army’s Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) Program, which guarantees job interviews to qualified military members upon completion of their military service.

CDW has been widely recognized for its efforts to attract and retain veteran employees. G.I. Jobs named CDW one of the “Top 100 Military Friendly Employers” for 2015 and 2016, while the company was also listed on the Military Times’ 2015 and 2016 “Best for Vets” Employer List.  CDW continues to expand its outreach programs and industry partnerships to attract, engage and hire veterans and help them transition from military service.  As a result, the company continues to demonstrate year-over-year increases in its veteran hiring.
