PHOTOS: Calcavecchia, Funk visit Hard Work U. campus

June 6, 2014

RIDGEDALE, Missouri- While in town for the Big Cedar Lodge Legends of Golf presented by Bass Pro Shops, Champions Tour players Fred Funk and Mark Calcavecchia took some time to visit one of the tournament's main beneficiaries, the College of the Ozarks, also known as "Hard Work U."

The privately funded Christian school in Point Lookout, Missouri is one of only a handful of work-study schools in the country.  In lieu of tuition, all full-time students work campus jobs to defray the cost of education. After successfully completing the work study program, the College guarantees to meet the entire cost of education for students, allowing them the opportunity to graduate debt-free.

During the campus visit on June 4, Funk and Calcavecchia had the opportunity to try some of the school's many unique work stations including the campus dairy farm, vegetable garden and the school's acclaimed farm-to-table public restaurant, Dobyns Dining Room, inside The Keeter Center.
