On May 7, the Tour's Brad Adamonis helped his brother, Dave Adamonis Jr., host the Fathers for a Cure Golf Classic at Wannamoisett Country Club in their native Rhode Island.  The tournament honors Dave Adamonis Sr. and Thomas Fecteau Sr., who dedicated their lives to helping others. In 2003, through the marriage of Dave’s son (Dave Jr.) and Tom’s daughter (Tricia) the two families became one. Dave’s father and father-in-law passed away from cancer in 2009. During their battle with cancer the two men received treatment at Massachusetts General Hospital. In 1982, the US Challenge Cup Golf Foundation was started by Dave Adamonis, Sr. in hopes of creating more opportunities for junior golfers to play in the area. Some notable participants over the years include James Driscoll, Keegan Bradley, Pat Sheehan, Rob Oppenheim, Brett Quigley and current Tour members Jim Renner and Mike Welch. The golf tournament serves as a fund raiser to help three charities in their local community. The tournament raised $22,000 for the United States Challenge Cup Junior Golf Foundation, Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center and Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island.
