Bud Cauley

The Bud Cauley Foundation launched in 2012 with the purpose of raising money and awareness for military related charities. The ultimate goal is to positively impact the lives of men and women who have served the United States of America. On December 3, 2012, the Foundation hosted its first annual charity golf event, raising more than $130,000. The proceeds will be used to fund three scholarships for veterans to attend the Golf Academy of America. Click here to view photos from the first annual Bud Cauley Foundation event.

This synergy between golf and the military is a natural for Bud, the son and grandson of Navy divers who grew up learning the game on military golf courses. Establishing the Foundation built upon Bud’s already active involvement with Birdies for the Brave, a military outreach initiative supported by the PGA Tour, which has raised over $10 for worthy military non-profits.

You will find the Birdies for the Brave logo on Bud’s bag, but that is simply where the relationship begins. Bud has invited Iraqi War veterans to walk inside the ropes and caddy for him at PGA Tour events and he also takes part in the Birdies for the Brave Gala at TPC Sawgrass.
