J.J. Henry


J.J. focuses his charitable efforts on The Henry House Foundation, which works to generate public awareness and to support community-based programs that focus on the healthcare and well-being of children. J.J. is also a big supporter of The First Tee of Fort Worth, which aims to impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that help promote character development and life-enhancing values through golf.

J.J. also sits on the board of Golf Pros Beating Cancer, a 501 (c)(3) Charitable foundation in the State of Virginia.  Its primay function is to raise funding for Melanoma Research through the Capital City Charity Pro-Am, a golf  tournament that takes place each September in the Washington, DC  area.

Each month in 2013, the Henry House will chose a community-based children's organization to pledge assistance to through JJ Henry's performance on the golf course. As a fun way to incorporate JJ's golf and our Henry House mission, the organization will find a tangible need for these groups prior to each month and pledge one of tEa

  • February - Cook Children's Hospital Oral Health Coalition (one dozen toothbrushes per birdie) Result: 156 toothbrushes donated
  • March - Tarrant Area Food Bank / Backpacks for Kids Program (one backpack with healthy weekend food for a month per birdie) Result: 32 backpacks with matching food grants
  • April - Hope Center 4 Autism (Light Peg Building Block set per birdie) Result: 40 Light Peg Block Sets
  • May - Down Syndrome Partnership of North Texas (one specially-fit bicycle helmet per birdie) Result: 44 helmets
  • June - The First Tee of Connecticut ($100 pledged for new SNAG golf equipment per birdie) Result: $3500 for SNAG
  • July - NICU Helping Hands (one buddy box for siblings per birdie) Result: 28 buddy boxes donated
