The Triad Youth Golf Foundation is a non-profit organization that creates innovative programs to promote junior golf in North Carolina. The foundation is headquartered in Greensboro with its reach expanding into Charlotte, Winston-Salem and Raleigh. The mission of TYGF is threefold:
To facilitate opportunities for all junior golfers to use golf as a tool to develop their character and their golf games through programs and leagues that are affordable to kids from all economic backgrounds.
To promote the game of golf to the youth of the community through a five-level program called the Developmental Reward Program, designed so the participants can earn rewards such as their own set of golf clubs through their consistent participation and effort.
To create a mass awareness about the game of golf through free clinics and Golf Fore Juniors, its at-school-after-school golf enrichment program. It utilizes a school facility to teach a more comprehensive golf class to the schools students.
