Penn Center Inc.
Established in 1862 Penn Center, Inc. was one of the first schools for blacks in the South. It operated as Penn Normal Industrial and Agricultural School until 1948, educating native islanders and memebers of the surrounding communities. By 1950, Penn Center reorganized to address community needs. It has become a renowned community organization with an impressive record of establishing cultural, academic, land preservation,recreational and self-sufficency programs. The mission of Penn Center is: To Promote and Preserve the Sea Islands' history and culture.

The Phi Gamma Delta Educational Foundation, established in 1945, is a 501(c)3 public charity (tax ID 52-6036185) whose mission is to support the educational and charitable purposes of Phi Gamma Delta, its undergraduate brothers and its chapters. The Phi Gamma Delta Foundation of Canada provides similar support to brothers and chapters in Canada.
